Sumatran tiger

This photo is great in that it focuses in on the face, yet provides some hints of context.

The crop isn't working entirely, which is a bit of a problem. It would be nice to see more of the tiger. I understand that if this is a captive tiger, the cement perch it is laying on might not be as visually appealing, but sometimes a good composition is more valuable than trying to keep out undesirable parts of the image.

I agree with the previous comment on the focus on the eyes needs to be better. People are instinctively drawn to eyes, so they need to be highlighted in the image. One of the ways to get an animal in focus, particularly behind glass, is to steady oneself against something sturdy, like a pole or wall, or use a cheap tripod. A still camera is much better at focusing.

Overall, I think you have a great start, but could definitely use some improvements in composition and camera technique. Keep up the good work!
